Polaris AI Analyst

Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 5, 2026

1. Introduction

Polaris AI Analyst ("the Application" or "Polaris") is an AI-powered analytics platform that automates e-commerce data analysis, UI/UX audits, and presentation generation. This Privacy Policy explains how the Application handles data when you grant access to your Google Analytics and Google BigQuery accounts.

2. Data We Access

The Application requests access to the following Google API scopes:

Google Analytics Data API (analytics.readonly)

Read-only access to Google Analytics 4 report data. Used to fetch traffic metrics, user behavior, revenue data, and other analytics dimensions/metrics for generating analytical reports.

Google Analytics Admin API (analytics.manage.users)

Used solely to add our service account (team-bf@bf--marketing-consulting.iam.gserviceaccount.com) as a Viewer to the authorized GA4 account. This is a one-time setup operation with no ongoing administrative access.

Google BigQuery API (bigquery)

Used to query e-commerce data exports from BigQuery datasets. The Application only reads data via SQL queries defined in analysis scenarios — it never modifies or deletes any data.

3. How We Use Data

All data retrieved from Google APIs is used exclusively for:

  • Generating analytical reports, charts, and slide presentations
  • Performing UI/UX analysis of website screenshots (captured separately, not from Google APIs)
  • Creating PDF and HTML export files for the authorized user

4. Data Storage & Retention

  • OAuth tokens: Refresh tokens are stored encrypted in our database. Access tokens are kept in memory only during an active session and are never persisted.
  • Report data: Generated reports (HTML, PDF) are stored temporarily for download. Users can delete their reports at any time.
  • No raw data retention: Raw data fetched from Google APIs is used only during the analysis pipeline and is discarded afterward. We do not archive or resell your analytics data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your Google Analytics or BigQuery data to any third parties. The only external service involved in processing is the opencode AI engine running locally on our infrastructure. No data is sent to third-party AI providers.

6. Security

All communications with Google APIs use HTTPS/TLS encryption. OAuth 2.0 tokens are stored with restricted database access. The Application uses service-account-based authentication for ongoing data access and only uses OAuth user tokens for initial authorization and user management operations.

7. Limited Use Disclosure

Polaris AI Analyst's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

8. Revoking Access

You may revoke Polaris AI Analyst's access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account Permissions page and removing the Polaris AI Analyst application under "Third-party apps with account access."
